Molla Mizanur Rahman, Joint Secretary, joined Bangladesh Water Development Board (BWDB) as Additional Director General (Administration) on December 17, 2024, said a press release.
Prior to this position, he served as Joint Project Director (Joint Secretary) of the Aspire to Innovate (a2i) project under the Ministry of ICT.
He holds both Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Geology from the University of Dhaka. His native district is Magura.
He began his career in 2003 as an Assistant Commissioner and 3rd class Magistrate in the office of the Deputy Commissioner, Habiganj, under the 21st BCS (Administration) cadre.
Throughout his field administrative career, he has served in various districts and upazilas as Assistant Commissioner, Assistant Commissioner (Land), Senior Assistant Commissioner, Upazila Executive Officer, Additional Deputy Commissioner, and Additional District Magistrate. He has also held senior positions as Senior Assistant Secretary, Deputy Secretary, and Joint Secretary in the Statistics and Information Management Division, Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, and Ministry of Secondary and Higher Education. During his career, he has participated in seminars and training in countries such as Australia, Singapore, China, Malaysia, India, Sri Lanka, the Philippines, Mongolia, Pakistan, and Saudi Arabia.
