Monthly transactions of Nagad hit record Tk 403b

Nagad, the digital financial service of the Bangladesh Post Office, has set a record by processing Tk 403.01 billion in transactions in the just-concluded January this year, marking the highest monthly volume in its history.

Within seven years of its journey, Nagad has established itself as a leading mobile financial service in Bangladesh, seeing significant growth in both customer numbers and transaction frequency. A major portion of this record-breaking volume came from cash-in, cash-out, send-money, various payments, utility bill settlements, mobile recharges, and inward remittances, says a press release.

Nagad Administrator Md. Motasem Billah expressed his appreciation to stakeholders, noting that the company's focus on customer trust and user-friendly services has driven this growth.

He also said that as a digital financial wing of the Bangladesh Post Office, Nagad is moving forward by ensuring greater security of customer funds and expanding its service range, which continues to attract new users and increase engagement from existing ones.

The previous monthly high was recorded in October 2025, when transactions crossed Tk 347.05 billion. Other significant transaction milestones include Tk 340.00 billion in March 2025 and Tk 320.00 billion in June 2024.

The mobile financial service provider continues its strong growth trajectory as it recorded a total transaction volume of Tk 3.80 trillion in 2025, which was a notable increase from around Tk 3.30 trillion transacted in 2024.
