Once again end of season varieties constituted the bulk of the offerings and consequently met with a very restricted demand at much lower level. Most of these varieties witnessed heavy withdrawals. Blenders lent some support while Loose tea buyers were very selective. A limited quantity of good liquoring Dusts were again a strong feature,  a National Brokers Limited press release said.
CTC LEAF: 52,841 packages and 60 packages of old season teas on offer met with a selective demand with heavy withdrawals.
BROKENS/FANNINGS: There were only a few clean types on offer which met with a fairly good demand but at lower rates. These could be quoted between Tk 190 and Tk 200. The remainder which constituted the bulk of the offerings met with very selective demand and where sold recorded a sharp decline in price often by Tk 20 and more.
CTC DUST: 8,458 packages and two packages of old season tea on offer met with a slightly better demand but at easier rates, Selected few lines of clean liquoring varieties met with some competition and were firm to slightly dearer particularly the Ds and CDs. All others were a lower market easing by up to Tk 10. End of season varieties were mostly unsold. Blenders and Loose tea buyers lent a fair support.
