Moulvibazar Municipality Mayor Md Fazlur Rahman announcing annual budget of Moulvibazar Municipality for 2021-22 fiscal year on Thursday KULAURA (Moulvi-bazar): Moulvibazar Municipality has announced a budget of Tk 1.54 billion (154 crore 57 lakh) for the fiscal year 2021-22.
Mayor of the municipality Fazlur Rahman announced the budget without any new tax in compliance with the health rules at the municipality boardroom on Thursday.
In his budget speech, the mayor said he took charge of Moulvibazar municipality with a debt of Tk 1.75 million (10 crore 75 lakh).
Now he is paying it step by step with the income of the municipality.
He highlighted ongoing development activities of the municipality and its various initiatives and plans to beautify the municipality.
The mayor said that the budget has been prepared keeping in view the overall facilities and quality services to the municipal citizens.
He said that several development projects are underway for beautification of Moulvibazar town, some more projects have been taken up.
The mayor apologised for announcing the delay budget.
Municipal councilors including Jalal Ahmed, Faisal Ahmed, Asad Hossain Makku, Nahid Ahmed and Syed Selim Haque, Women councilors Nazma Begum, Jahanara Begum and Jimmy Akhter were present on the occasion.
Journalists from electronic and print media of the district were also present.
