Mutual Trust Bank PLC (MTB) has distributed fresh loans to clients under Credit Guarantee Scheme (CGS) of Bangladesh Bank to celebrate its Silver Jubilee at its corporate Head office in Dhaka. CGS is aimed to scale up lending to CMSMEs who are unable to offer readily available collateral to receive credit facility from commercial banks. A total of 25 entrepreneurs' have received loan sanction under CGS. Of them, 20 enterprises are owned by women. Nurun Nahar, Deputy Governor of Bangladesh bank, was present at the event as the chief guest and handed over loan sanction letters to the clients. Nahid Rahman, Director, CGD, Nawshad Mustafa, Director, SMESPD of Bangladesh Bank, was present as special guest while Syed Mahbubur Rahman, MD & CEO of MTB PLC, presided over the event. Syed Mahbubur Rahman highlighted the scope and benefits of the CGS scheme. Other officials from Bangladesh Bank and MTB PLC also participated in the event.
