As the year draws to a close, Nagad, a digital financial service of the Bangladesh Postal Department, has awarded special recognition to 70 outstanding performers selected from 7,000 distributors' field forces across the country, says a press release.

The recognition ceremony, titled "Nagad Field Champion 2025," was held at a city hotel on Wednesday.

During the event, the Bangladesh Bank-appointed Nagad Administrator, Md Motasem Billah surprised attendees by announcing a special performance bonus for the distributors' field forces. The bonus amounts were instantly credited to the Nagad accounts of all 70 awardees. All expenses related to travel to and from Dhaka, meals, hotel accommodation, and other logistics for participants arriving from remote areas of the country were fully borne by Nagad.

Congratulating the top performers, Administrator Md Motasem Billah said that despite various challenges, Nagad built strong competitiveness in the market. Government policymakers, he added, expect Nagad to play a significant role in further expanding cashless transactions in Bangladesh. That is why he urged everyone to remain focused on Nagad's success and not be distracted by any negative propaganda.

Among others, Bangladesh Bank-appointed Senior Associate Administrator, Md Habibur Rahman, Bangladesh Post Office-appointed Senior Associate Administrator, Md Abu Taleb, and Nagad's Chief Commercial Officer, Mohummed Shahin Sarwar Bhuiyan attended the event.

The speakers noted that inbound remittances, Bangla QR, and interoperability among all financial institutions will play a game-changing role in the coming year.

As a result, they believe that 2026 will be Nagad's most successful year yet.
