Nagad has launched a month-long 'World Cup Activation' programme to enhance engagement with the youth and football enthusiasts during the Football World Cup.
The carnival began on Wednesday through festive events held at Dhaka University and Dhaka College. The spontaneous participation of students at both venues was highly remarkable, says a press release.
During the World Cup, this campaign will be carried out across 27 districts using Nagad-branded caravans at various educational institutions, public gathering spots, and key venues.
Featuring the participation of national football team players and popular sports influencers, the activation will run throughout the World Cup period.
It will include interactive sessions, sports quizzes, football-based games, and PlayStation-5 (PS5) gaming competitions for the audience and participants. Winners will be rewarded with attractive prizes, including mini footballs, Nagad-branded jerseys, and wristbands.
The opening event was held at the Masterda Surja Sen Hall tennis court of Dhaka University, featuring Matsushima Sumaiya, a star player of the National Women's Football team. She participated in various quizzes, fun football-related activities, and game shows alongside the students, later handing over prizes to the winners.
