National Bank achieves ISO certification

National Bank has achieved the internationally recognised ISO 27001:2022 Information Security Management System (ISMS) certification.
On this occasion, a certificate handover ceremony was held at the bank's head office on Thursday. K. Nagaraj, Country Head of the multinational organization TÜV SÜD, formally handed over the certificate to Adil Chowdhury, Managing Director of National Bank. Deputy Managing Directors, divisional heads, and senior officials of the bank were also present at the event, says a press release.
At the ceremony, Managing Director Adil Chowdhury stated that cyber risks are increasing rapidly in the digital era. This renewed certification reflects National Bank's long-term commitment and sustainable progress in information security and IT governance. With the attainment of ISO 27001:2022 certification, the bank's information security framework has become even stronger and aligned with international standards.
He further mentioned that this achievement is the result of the collective effort, professionalism, and dedication of the information security, information technology, risk management, and all related departments. National Bank will continue its digital transformation journey while maintaining the highest standards of security.
Notably, National Bank achieved its first ISO certification in 2010 for its in-house developed software. Continuing its progress, the bank obtained ISO 27001:2013 (ISMS) certification in 2018, ensuring a comprehensive cybersecurity framework for its entire IT infrastructure.
