NBR launches Security Operations Center to strengthen cybersecurity

As part of implementing the cybersecurity policies and compliance guidelines issued by the National Cyber Security Agency (NCSA), the National Board of Revenue (NBR) has established a Security Operations Center (SOC) to strengthen the security of the ASYCUDA infrastructure and other sensitive information assets.
The SOC formally commenced operations on Sunday, said a press release of NBR.
An NBR-dedicated specialised team is operating the SOC by adopting advanced technologies and adhering to international standards. NBR Chairman Md. Abdur Rahman Khan officially inaugurated the in-house SOC.
Through the SOC, it is now possible to ensure round-the-clock monitoring, detection, and preventive measures against potential internal and external cyber-attacks, risks, suspicious activities, and other cyber threats within the cyberspace of Bangladesh Customs.
