New office-bearers of ICSB

Hossain Sadat FCS has been elected as the President of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries of Bangladesh (ICSB) at its 114th Council Meeting held on Thursday.
He previously served on the ICSB Council from 2013 to 2016, says a press statement.
A seasoned corporate leader with nearly 30 years of cross-industry experience, Mr Sadat brings deep expertise in corporate governance, regulatory strategy, sustainability, financial management, and strategic communications.
He has held several senior leadership positions across Grameenphone Ltd.,
Shell Oil & Gas, Cairn Energy PLC, and KPMG
Rahman Rahman Huq.
The Council meeting also elected Md. Rafiqul Islam FCS as the Senior Vice President of the Institute.
Prior to this new assignment, he served as the Member Secretary of the International Relations Sub-Committee of ICSB for the term of 2016-2019 and Member of the Company Law Review Sub Committee for the term of 2019-2022.
Mr Islam, having 25 years of professional experience is now working as the Deputy Managing Director & Company Secretary of Walton Hi-Tech Industries PLC.
Md Sharif Hasan FCS, a seasoned governance professional, has been elected as the Vice President of the Institute.
Prior to this new assignment, he served as the Council Member of ICSB for the terms of 2019-2022 & 2022-2025 and the Chairman of the Corporate Laws Review Sub-Committee for the terms of 2019-2022 & 2022-2025.
Mr Hasan, having 16 years of professional experience, is now working as the Director-Regulatory Affairs & Company Secretary of Unique Hotel & Resorts PLC (Unique Group). Mr. Hasan also represents in the Board of Chartered Life Insurance PLC.
The Council has also appointed Md Mizanur Rahman FCS as the Treasurer of the Institute.
Prior to this new assignment, he served the Institute as the Chairman of Public Relations Sub-Committee for the term of 2022-2025.
Mr Rahman, having 27 years of professional experience, is now serving as the Partner of Jasmin & Associates, Chartered Secretaries.
