ICAB delegate joins Int'l Public Sector Confce

Anwaruddin Chowdhury, Council Member and Past President of ICAB and Director of CAPA Board, took part in International Public Sector Conference and CAPA events held in Kathmundu, Nepal, recently. He presented a keynote paper in the conference on 'Public Sector Financial Management -Enhanced Accountability and Transparency'. The event was jointly organised by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nepal(ICAN) and Public Expenditure and Financial Accountability Secretariat in association with the Confederation of Asian Pacific Association (CAPA). Anwaruddin Chowdhury, representing the President of ICAB, also participated in the 52nd SAFA Board Meeting on the same venue. — Statement

Midland Bank training course

A five-day Foundation Training Programme for the officials of the Midland Bank was held at the Training Institute of the bank at Gulshan in the city recently. Managing Director and CEO of Midland Bank Md Ahsan-uz Zaman inaugurated the programme as the chief guest. Officials from different branches and Head Office of the bank participated in the training programme. Banking topics were presented in the training programme to enhance knowledge and service quality of the bank's human capital. The managing director and CEO of the bank distributed certificates among the participants at the closing ceremony on May 17. — Statement

Pathao teams up with Masthead

Pathao, a popular ride-sharing platform in Bangladesh, has signed an agreement with Masthead PR, a public relations agency, recently. As per the agreement, Masthead PR will be providing exclusive strategic PR planning and solutions that includes PR event management, corporate profiling, brand profiling, PR content management & planning, crisis management, and PR coverage monitoring. CEO of Pathao Bangladesh Hussain M Elius and Managing Director of Masthead PR Ziauddin Adil signed the agreement at a ceremony at the head office of Pathao in the city. — Statement
