REMA Trust reelects chairman
SM Nurul Hoque, a veteran business leader, has been reelected chairman of the Research for Education and Management Academy (REMA) Trust for the third consecutive term. As a founder of the institution, he runs Chittagong Laboratory School and College and REMA Teachers Training College in Chittagong for 19 years. ROBI cash back offer
The largest 4.5G network operator of the country, Robi, has recently introduced the first-ever 100 per cent cash back offer on purchase of Lava IRIS 60 and Micromax Q440 4G smartphones. The customers will get the 100 per cent of the handset price back in six installments within three years; the six installments will be paid in every six months following purchase of the handsets. In case of Lava, the customers will get Tk 1,165 and for Micromax, they will get Tk 1,125 back in every six months. However, the customer will need to buy Tk 299 monthly bundle for 36 months, to be eligible for claiming the 100 per cent cash back offer. — UNB
Singapore's CPI up 0.2pc
SINGAPORE, Apr 23: Singapore's Consumer Price Index (CPI) rose 0.2 per cent in March, compared to a 0.5 per cent inflation in February, said the Ministry of Trade and Industry and Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) in a joint release on Monday. The MAS Core Inflation, which excludes the costs of accommodation and private road transport, decreased to 1.5 per cent in March from 1.7 per cent in February. — Xinhua
