BD cos to take part in apparel fair in Canada

A three-day apparel sourcing exhibition 'Apparel Textile Sourcing Canada (ATSC)' will begin at the International Centre in Toronto of Canada on August 19. "Like many other countries, Bangladeshi business entities will take part in the trade show for promoting Bangladeshi products in the Canadian market," Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) Deputy Director Abu Mukhles Alamgir Hossain said. He said a total of 10 fabric, garment and home textile manufacturers from Bangladesh will take part in the trade show. The business firms are Wega Knitex Limited, MAM Bangladesh, FnF Trend Fashion Limited, Four R Apparels, Hand Touch, RN Knit Tex Limited, DK Textile Limited, DSL Sweater Limited, Masco Industries Limited and Panache Knitted Creations Limited. Apparel Textile Sourcing is the premier destination of the international apparel, textile, fashion and fabric manufacturers and leaders. Hundreds of international manufacturers will meet the exhibition to touch the fabrics and fashions first-hand. — BSS

IDCOL confce on renewable energy

The Infrastructure Development Company Limited (IDCOL) organized its "Divisional Level Conference on Installation of Renewable Energy Systems under TR/KABITA Program" at the Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel in Dhaka recently. The objective of the conference was to strengthen monitoring of the renewable energy systems under the TR/KABITA Programme. Different stakeholders under Dhaka Division, including government officials related to TR/KABITA and representatives of IDCOL partner organisations, participated in the conference. The discussants appreciated the quality of solar systems and after-sale services provided by the IDCOL Partner Organisations. Md. Abul Kalam Azad, Principal Coordinator (SDG Affairs), Prime Minister's Office, was present on the occasion as the chief guest. — Statement
