NHRDF teams up with five training institutes to build skilled manpower

Rehana Parveen, NHRDF Managing Director and CEO and Member (Secretary) of the Socio-Economic Infrastructure Division of the Planning Commission, and the chiefs of the institutions signed the agreement.

The National Human Resource Development Fund (NHRDF) signed a one-year agreement on Thursday with five government and non-government organisations on training assistance aimed at building skilled manpower, says a press release.

The institutions are Netrakona Vocational Training Centre, Netrakona, CSS Hope Technical Institute, Khulna, Jashim Uddin Vocational Training Institute, Jamalpur, Rural Reconstruction Foundation (RRF), Jashore, and UCEP Rajshahi TVET Institute, Rajshahi.

Under this agreement, 1152 persons will be trained on welding, tailoring & dressmaking, electrical instalation and maintenance, graphic design, food & beverage production, fashion design and product development, knit sewing machine operation, refrigeration and air conditioning, automotive mechanics and sewing machine operation.

After completing the courses, trainees will be employed by the training institutions.
