Novartis to redeploy jobs in Switzerland

ZURICH, Jan 21 (Reuters): Swiss drugmaker Novartis plans to cut up to 500 jobs in its pharmaceutical division and create new positions across several divisions as it frees up resources to help support the launch of new drugs.
The company said it expected to cut and create a roughly equal number of jobs in Switzerland in 2014.
