Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) will work together with Bangladesh in developing country's micro enterprises as well as micro credit.
"Bangladesh is the pioneer in micro credit, so the OIC wants to get the Bangladesh's expertise and spread it to other member countries," OIC Secretary General Iyad Ameen Madani said after a meeting with Finance Minister AMA Muhith Sunday.
Asked about whether the OIC would help Bangladesh expand manpower market in Middle East the Secretary General said "This is a bilateral issue. The country has to concentrate on skill development of its manpower."
Iyad Ameen Madani praised the government efforts in reducing the rate of poverty, sustainable development and advancement in education.
He also expressed his gratitude to the country for supporting him for becoming the Secretary General of the OIC.
Finance Minister said the OIC will provide its help in developing country's micro enterprises.
"The priority of the discussion put thrust on micro enterprise and micro credit," the minister said.
