Over 100 students receive MIT certificates

The awards ceremony on the closing day of the 'MIT Leading Edge International Student Conference' at the permanent campus of Haileybury Bhaluka in Mymensingh recently.

More than a hundred students at Bhaluka, Mymensingh, had received certificates from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

The certificates were awarded on the closing day of a five-day conference titled 'MIT Leading Edge International Student Conference' held from 11 to 15 June at the permanent campus of Haileybury Bhaluka, jointly organised by Haileybury Bhaluka and MIT for the first time in Bangladesh, says a press release.

These certificates were awarded by the MIT's Edgerton Center in recognition of the participants' five days of hands-on knowledge about various innovative activities and their management, including underwater robotics and innovative engineering designs for sustainable climate change. The participants also had a unique opportunity to participate in the 'Underwater Harry Potter Quidditch Competition' from famous film Series, Harry Potter, based on the eponymous novels by British author JK Rowling.

Haileybury Bhaluka's founding Headmaster Simon O Grady, Haileybury Bhaluka's Advisor and also the former Dhaka University Vice Chancellor Professor SMA Faiz, Academic Director Dr. Sandeep Ananthanarayanan and the MIT faculty members and MIT graduates, were present at the certificate awarding event. Parents of the hundred students who participated in the five-day conference and Chairman of Best Holdings Limited Amin Ahmed was also present there.
