Pink City Home Owner Co-Operative Society Limited became the first Residential Community Partner of The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award-Bangladesh.
In this connection, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between Pink City Home Owner Co-Operative Society Limited and The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award-Bangladesh, said a press release.
Md Khalid Shahrior, programme manager of The Duke of Edinburgh's Award Foundation Bangladesh, and Dr Sheikh Faridul Islam, president of Pink City Home Owner Co-Operative Society Limited, signed the MoU on behalf of their respective organisations in the city on Sunday.
Pink City Home Owner Co-Operative Society Limited has made available the world's most recognised Award programme to its young residents through signing this agreement.
The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award is one of the leading non formal education programme operating in 130 countries and territories including Bangladesh. It offers unique opportunity to the youth aged from 14 to 24 to discover their hidden talents and to gain a special sense of responsibility and helps them preparing for future. This Award has been operated in 94 leading educational institutions across Bangladesh.
The ceremony was attended by Rizwan Bin Farouq, member, board of trustees of The Duke of Edinburgh's Award Foundation Bangladesh; executive committee members and other residents of Pink City Home Owner Co-Operative Society Limited.
