The extraordinary general meeting (EGM) of Pioneer Insurance Company Limited was held on Wednesday using a digital platform to change the name of the company from 'Pioneer Insurance Company Limited' to 'Pioneer Insurance PLC' and to increase the authorised share capital from 1 billion to 2 billion. Mr Zakir Ahmed Khan, Chairman of the Company, presided over the meeting. Directors Sylvana Sikder, Shahana Rahmatullah, MA Majed, Sanchia Chowdhury, Anika Chowdhury, Munize Manzur, Parveen Akther, Rozina Afroze, Shafiqul Islam Khan, and Sheikh Mohammad Salim Ullah, Chief Executive Officer Syed Shahriyar Ahsan and Company Secretary S. M. Mizanur Rahman and a large number of shareholders joined the meeting virtually.
