President Md Abdul Hamid unveils the foundation stone plaque of Sheikh Kamal IT Training and Incubation Centre at Mahinda adjacent to Sadar Upazila Parishad in Kishoreganj on Wednesday
President Md Abdul Hamid has laid the foundation stone of Sheikh Kamal IT Training and Incubation Centre in Kishoreganj, said a press release.
The president unveiled the foundation stone plaque of the centre at Mahinda adjacent to Sadar Upazila Parishad on Wednesday.
State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Junaid Ahmed Palak, Kishoreganj-1 MP Dr Syeda Zakia Nur Lipi and other military and civilian officials were present on the occasion.
The president then planted an Arjuna sapling. The seven-storey Sheikh Kamal IT Training and Incubation Centre building is being constructed at a cost of Tk 950 million (95 crore) on about five acres of land.
Its construction work would be completed by 2023 with all-out supervision of the Bangladesh Army.
Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority has been setting up Sheikh Kamal IT Training and Incubation Centre in 64 districts of the country.
After the unveiling of the foundation stone, the state minister told reporters that at least 2,000 youths would be provided employment every year through Sheikh Kamal IT Training and Incubation Centre in Kishoreganj.
He said that they should not only be certified but also become competent. At the call of the prime minister, everyone should be able to become an entrepreneur and give the job to others without running after the job.
