Prime Bank Investment (PBIL), a leading investment bank, has entered into a strategic alliance with Amanie Advisors, a leader in Shariah advisory, to accelerate the development of Bangladesh's Shariah-compliant investment landscape.
This is a pioneering cross-border B2B partnership that aims to catalyze Islamic investments in Bangladesh.
Syed M Omar Tayub, MD & CEO of PBIL, and Suhaida Mahpot, CEO of Amanie Advisors, Malaysia, signed the MoU in Kuala Lumpur recently. Chowdhury Ashik Mahmud Bin Harun, Executive Chairman of BIDA and BEZA; Mohd Shuhada Othman, High Commissioner of Malaysia to Bangladesh; and Shabbir A. Khan, President of Bangladesh-Malaysia Chamber of Commerce and Industry, were present at the signing ceremony, says a statement.
The collaboration will focus on Sukuk structuring and advisory, as well as the development of innovative Shariah-compliant financial products. It will also advance research, policy advocacy, and specialized training to strengthen market expertise.
This cross-border alliance with Malaysia's mature Islamic finance ecosystem will facilitate knowledge exchange, open new deal pipelines, and connect Bangladesh to a broader investor base.
