Rab recover Phensidyl in Faridpur

FARIDPUR, Sept 20 (BSS): Members of Rab-8 stationed at Faridpur in a drive Friday recovered 352 bottles of phensidyl and arrested two persons with a Dhaka-bound private car from Jessore.

Company Commander (CC) Major Mojammel Hossain told the news agency that acting on a tip-off the members of Rab laid a trap near a filling station at Brahamnpara adjacent to Bhanga when a private car bearing No. Dhaka-Metro-KHA-11-0421 with two persons on board came there.

The Rab team after searching the car including engine and gas cylinder found bottles of phensidyl. The Rab also caught the two persons who tried to escape from the car.

The arrestees Nur Islam (40) and Md Ariful Islam (32) both hailing from Jessore district confessed that they have been doing the business for a long time. The consignment was destined for capital Dhaka.
