RAJSHAHI, Apr 22: Rajshahi Krishi Unnayan Bank (RAKUB) has successfully secured ISO/IEC 27001:2022 re-certification, reinforcing its commitment to safeguarding digital banking operations and strengthening cybersecurity amid growing cyber threats in the financial sector.
The certification was issued by UK-based accredited certification body A Cube TIC Limited, confirming that the bank's Information Security Management System (ISMS) meets internationally recognised standards.
A formal certificate handover ceremony was held on Wednesday at 4:00pm. During the event, Managing Director and CEO of QA PRO Limited, Md Jahangir Alam, formally handed over the certificate to RAKUB's Acting Managing Director Md Golam Mortuza.
Senior officials, including General Manager (Administration) Taj Uddin Ahmed and Head of ICT Systems Division Abu Hanif, along with other officials and employees of the ICT department, were present.
Officials said the re-certification demonstrates RAKUB's strengthened capability in managing its Core Banking System (CBS), ensuring data integrity, and mitigating cybersecurity risks through structured risk management and continuous monitoring systems.
The ISO/IEC 27001:2022 standard is a globally recognised framework for establishing, implementing, maintaining and continuously improving information security management systems. It focuses on risk assessment, data protection, and operational resilience against cyber risks.
