Rancon Motors Limited, the official distributor of Mercedes-Benz in Bangladesh, has officially launched the 2025 G 580 'Edition One' model, marking the arrival of the first-ever electric G-Class in the country.
'Edition One' is the first production unit of the electric G-Wagon, which is a collector's item for automotive enthusiasts, says a statement.
The electric G-Wagon was launched at an event in the city on Saturday.
This model combines the traditional off-road performance of the G-Class with modern electric technology, setting new standards in luxury, performance and sustainability.
The Mercedes-Benz G-Class Electric is a fully electric G-Wagon that retains its iconic SUV characteristics as an EV, including its design and off-road capabilities.
This legendary off-roading vehicle features a fully electric G-Wagon with a quad-motor setup (one motor for each wheel), delivering a combined output of 587 PS and 1164 Nm of torque. There are G-Rower, G-Turn and G-Steering.
Bassbaba Sumon from Aurthohin Band and the country's most experienced motor racer Avik Anwar were present as invited guests at the launching ceremony.
