REHAB greets PM for raising home loan limit

Real Estate and Housing Association of Bangladesh (REHAB) has thanked Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the finance minister and the Bangladesh Bank governor for raising home loan limit to Tk 20 million, reports BSS.

Considering the growing demand of house loan, the time-befitting decision of increasing house loan limit is really appreciable, while both the buyers and sellers of flats will benefit from it, a REHAB press release said.

The REHAB thinks the government's decision will help bring pace in the country's housing sector. But, it voiced concern over not brining interest rate of house loan to single digit.

The Bangladesh Bank has increased the maximum limit for home loans to Tk 20 million from Tk 12 million considering the increased apartment price and purchasing capacity of people.
