REHAB holds housing fair in Sydney

The Real Estate and Housing Association of Bangladesh (REHAB) held a three-day housing fair in Australia that ended on Monday.

The three-day 'REHAB Housing Fair Sydney-2018' was geared towards promoting the sector among non-resident Bangladeshis (NRBs).

Senior Vice-President of REHAB Nurun Nabi Chowdhury (Shaon) inaugurated the second edition of the fair in Sydney's Orion Centre on Saturday, according to a statement.

Commercial Consular of Bangladesh High Commission in Australia Md Shafiur Rahman, President of Australia Bangladesh Business Council Asif Kawnine and REHAB fair standing committee chairman Md Shakil Kamal Chowdhury also attended the inaugural ceremony.

Addressing the ceremony, Nurun Nabi Chowdhury said housing facilities for a family is not only a place for living but also a symbol of security.

"Wherever a Bangladeshi lives in, his root lies in Bangladesh," he said, adding that many expatriates living abroad are likely to return to Bangladesh in the future.
