RFL starts exporting electronic bicycle

RFL, a leading business conglomerate, has started exporting electronic bicycle (e-bike), says a statement.
A consignment of e-bike has recently been sent to Germany from its factory of Rangpur Metal Industries Limited, a concern of RFL Group, in Habiganj Industrial Park at Shayestaganj in Habiganj.
Mahmudur Rahman, Chief Operating Officer at Rangpur Metal Industries Limited, said, "E-bike has steadily been gaining popularity around the world as a convenient and environmental-friendly alternative to traditional bicycle and motorised vehicle.
"As a result, it is in great demand all over the world, especially in European countries. The global market size for e-bikes is USD 40 billion and it is gradually growing. In this context, we have started exporting e-bike. Hopefully, we will get good response in Germany."
He also said, "We are in talks with buyers from different countries, including Brazil and the UK, for e-bike export. We hope that RFL's e-bikes will be able to establish a strong position in the global market and contribute to the diversification of Bangladesh's export basket."
RFL started manufacturing and marketing electronic bicycle (e-bike) for the country's market for the first time in February.
