Robi distributes Eid clothes among poor children

Mobile phone operator Robi has completed distribution of clothes as Eid gifts among underprivileged children across the country.
A total of 25,000 underprivileged children in all 64 districts received new clothes from Robi which commenced the countrywide campaign in early July, said a Robi release Sunday, reports BSS.
The massive distribution was conducted in association with Volunteer for Bangladesh, a youth wing of JAAGO Foundation.
Befitting with the theme of the campaign "In this Eid, who will you make smile?", the clothes distribution program was aimed at bringing smiles to thousands of underprivileged children across the country.
The campaign also enabled Robi subscribers who recharged BDT 28 or BDT 58 to be a part of this noble endeavor.
Supun Weerasinghe, Managing Director and CEO of Robi, said "Robi management is truly humbled by the reaction it received from our valued subscribers and various sections of the society. Such appreciation from the society at large surely inspires us to bring more innovative products that are socially helpful. The entire Robi family will be enjoying this Eid with a sense of gratification".
The Robi CEO also thanked the members of Volunteer for Bangladesh for their tireless efforts in distributing the Eid clothes to all corners of the country and thereby spreading smiles to the underprivileged children during this Eid.
