Robi launches PDB bill payment service in Sylhet, Rangpur

Robi has launched electricity bill payment service  for Power Development Board (PDB) in Sylhet and Rangpur regions, reports UNB.

Robi has already started collecting electricity bill for March from these two regions.

Robi's system for mobile payment of electricity bills will be integrated with the PDB's electricity billing system. Hence, electricity bills paid through Robi's electricity bills payment system will be updated on PDB's billing system on real time basis.

PDB clients may choose to pay their electricity bills either through Robi Cash Points or through their mobile phones.

Mobile users will get an automatic SMS regarding their monthly electricity bill payment dues. Besides, they will get a reminder SMS prior to the payment deadline in case they forget to pay the dues.

Moreover, once they pay the electricity bill they will get an immediate confirmation of the payment.

Out of the six electricity billing regions of PDB, Robi is currently providing the electricity bill payment facility in Rajshahi, Comilla, Mymensingh, Sylhet and Rangpur region.
