Rosatom presents booklets on nuclear energy at Ishwardi

Russia's state nuclear energy corporation Rosatom, with support of the Ministry of Science and Technology, has presented popular science book titled "Nuclear Energy: Questions and Answers" to various schools located at Ishwardi area where country's first nuclear power plant will be built, said a press release.
Rosatom distributed more than one thousand books free of charge among 20 secondary schools at Rooppur, Ishwardi town and Pakshi. Earlier the book was unveiled at Ekushey Book Fair in Dhaka on February last.
"We aim to educate people about nuclear energy, its benefits compared to other types of electricity generation, its safety, eco-friendliness and cost effectiveness", said Vlad Bochkov, Vice-President of Rusatom International Network.
Rosatom under an inter-governmental between Russia and Bangladesh is implementing the Bangladesh's first nuclear power project at Rooppur, Ishwardi.
