Runner Automobiles Limited is set to step soon into the global market, with exporting its world-class bikes, officials of the country's leading motorbike-maker said in the city Thursday, reports BSS.
The company has already attained capacity to manufacture world-class bikes, keeping in mind the vast export opportunities, the officials said. "Runner is committed to maintain high quality, and is going to export Runner-brand motorbikes shortly," said Hafizur Rahman Khan, chairman of the Runner Group.
He came up with the disclosure at the inaugural function of the 7th Exclusive Showroom of Runner Automobiles Limited at Malibagh Chowdhurypara, a busy suburb of the capital city.
Shakib Al Hasan, cricket all-rounder, also the brand ambassador of Runner Automobiles, inaugurated the exclusive showroom. "This is encouraging that a local motorbike-maker is sustaining its success in meeting the domestic demand for motorcycles by reducing the country's import dependency, and is now eyeing markets abroad through enhancing the quality of its products," the celebrity cricketer told the inaugural function.
Md Mozzammel Hossain, vice-chairman and Brig (retd) Shafiquzzaman, managing director of Runner Group, were present at the function, among others.
The company's factory is built on over 125 bighas of land at Valuka in Mymensingh. It has been manufacturing 50cc to 150cc motorcycles and maintaining leading position on the local market for these two categories. About 200 dealers and sub-dealers are providing after-sales services through 400 showrooms across the country. The company is also able to support its clients, with providing necessary spare parts in 24 hours.
