SB Design Lab okays 5 new social business projects

Five 'Nobin Udyokta' business projects launched by children of Grameen Bank borrowers were approved at the 37th Social Business (SB) Design Lab at Grameen Bank Bhaban in the city on Saturday, reports UNB.
Nobel Laureate Prof Dr Muhammad Yunus presided over the Design Lab. He earlier opened the lab with a welcome to the audience present and those who took part via live stream from 70 countries, said a press release issued by the Yunus Centre.
Nearly 150 participants and observers from national and international organisations, including Dr Cecep Effendi Director General of Centre on Integrated Rural Development for Asia and the Pacific, a team of American cultural ambassadors, GIZ from Germany, representatives from Centre for Rehabilitation for the Paralyzed (CRP), Queen's University, Canada, JICA from Japan and participants from different universities at home and abroad, attended the event.
