Seminar on BIMSTEC in city today

A daylong seminar titled 'Bangladesh and BIMSTEC: Way Forward' will be held in the city today (Tuesday), reports UNB.
Bangladesh Institute of International and Strategic Studies (BIISS) will arrange the seminar at its auditorium.
The Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multisectoral Economic Cooperation is a regional forum involving a group of six countries in South and Southeast Asia. Its secretariat was recently inaugurated in Dhaka.
Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali will attend the seminar as the chief guest at the inaugural session, while State Minister for Foreign Affairs M Shahriar Alam will be the chief guest at the concluding session.
Secretary General of BIMSTEC Sumith Nakandala will be present at the inaugural session as the special guest.
Senior civil and military officials, former ambassadors, members of academia, scholars, and policy makers will also take part in the seminar.
