Seminar on VAT held in Netrakona

NETRAKONA, Apr 17  (BSS):  Speakers at an advocacy seminar on "Value Added Tax' (VAT) and Supplementary Duty (SD) Act -2012" here on Thursday underlined the importance of motivating the tax- payers to pay their taxes on time for greater interest of the nation.

They urged the tax payers to come forward to pay their VAT by using the "on-line VAT Payment Network" which was introduced by the National Board of Revenue (NBR).

The speakers also emphasised the need for ensuring proper official service network in Customs Excise and VAT offices and organising field level VAT fairs and other motivational campaigns to let the businessmen and others tax payers know about the latest on-line VAT payment networks and SD Act-2012.

Customs Excise and VAT Netrakona division organised the seminar at local public hall here to popularize the on-line VAT payment network of the NBR.
