Sharif Zahir has been elected chairman of the National Finance Ltd (NFL) and Maruf Akter Mannan vice chairman (VC) during the financial institution's 207th board meeting held recently.
Sharif Zahir is the managing director of Ananta Group Ltd, a prominent name in the apparel and textile industry in Bangladesh, says a press release.
Mr Zahir holds a degree in economics and finance from the University of Texas at Austin.
