Sheikh Shoebul made registrar at Office of RJSC

Sheikh Shoebul Alam, an additional secretary, has been appointed as the registrar at the Office of the Registrar of Joint Stock Companies and Firms (RJSC), the country's company registration authority.

The Ministry of Public Administration issued a circular in this regard on Thursday.

Mr Alam replaced Md Mokbul Hossain, who was promoted to secretary and transferred to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting on May 30 last.

Mr. Alam was appointed as the registrar on deputation from the Ministry of Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment.

The Office of the RJSC was first set up in the port city of Chattogram after the partition of the subcontinent.

As of July last, some 245,655 organisations have been registered with the RJSC.
