RANGPUR, Apr 10 (BSS) : Speakers at two separate inaugural ceremonies on Thursday stressed for producing skilled male and female human resources on information and communication technology (ICT) to accelerate national uplift.
The ceremonies were arranged for launching two fortnight-long training courses on 'Basic ICT Literacy for Women' under the Learning and Earning Project at Tushbhandar and Modati union parishad complexes of Kaliganj upazila in Lalmonirhat district.
Bangladesh Institute of Management (BIM) and IBBS Primax Software (Bangladesh) Ltd have been organising the training with assistance of the Department of Information and ICT of the Ministry of Post, Telecommunications and Information Technology.
Kaliganj upazila administration has been extending cooperation in arranging the training courses with participations of twenty unemployed and young educated women in each from different villages under of Tushbhandar and Modati unions.
Kaliganj Upazila Nirbahi officer Golam Rabbi attended the ceremonies as the chief guest and formally inaugurated the training courses.
Chairman of Tushbhandar union Nur Islam and chairman of Modati union Abdul Kader presided over the inaugural ceremonies arranged at their union parishad complexes receptively.
