A three-day exhibition of smartphones, tablets and related gadgets will kick off in the capital on Thursday.
The country's major brands will participate in the exposition titled "Smartphone and Tab Expo" at Bangabandhu International Conference Center (BICC).
Minister for Posts and Telecommunication Mustafa Jabbar will inaugurate the fair as the chief guest on the first day of the event where the major brands are likely to make a lot of discounts and offers.
Event management firm Expo Maker is arranging the exposition for the 12th time, said the organisers at a news conference at a city hotel on Sunday.
Global and local brands like Samsung, Huawei, Oppo, Lava, Vivo, Xiaomi, Motorola, etc., will take part in the expo, the organisers said.
They had already confirmed their participation, said Expo Maker strategic planner Muhammad Khan.
He said the companies would offer special price cut and gift items during the event.
The visitors would be able to pick smart devices from a variety of brands under one roof, he added.
The companies and their distributors would showcase their devices with unique offers and gifts, said Samsung Mobile Bangladesh's Head of Product Fazlul Musawwir Choudhury.
Some of the selected products of Samsung will offer 50 per cent discount at the fair, he announced.
