RAJSHAHI, Sept 7: Officials and staff of Sonali Bank under Rajshahi region have been urged to be more active in realising classified loans.
General Manager (GM) of Sonali Bank, Rajshahi division, TM Afzal Hossain made the appeal while addressing a monthly review meeting of the bank here on Saturday.
He also directed the officials concerned of those branches that failed to achieve their targets until August, 2014 to achieve 100 per cent business target by next four months.
The GM came up with the directive as he noticed that most of the branches of Rajshahi region have failed to achieve their targets until August, 2014.
He announced at the meeting that at the end of 2014 there will be no losing or non-profit branch of the bank in Rajshahi division.
He also emphasised strengthening the process of realisation of classified and unrealised loan, taking legal measures against the defaulters, filing of cases against defaulters and speedy disposal of cases filed against the defaulters.
Heads and officials of all principal offices of Rajshahi division, regional offices, corporate branches, district branches, head offices of Rajshahi city and branch offices took part in the meeting.
