MADRID, June 18 (Xinhua): Spanish banks' bad debts stood at 13.44 per cent in April, rising slightly from the 13.39 per cent recorded for March, the Bank of Spain reported on Wednesday.
According to the bank, bad loans within the Spanish banking system dropped to 191.763 billion euros (US$260.2 billion) in April from 192.773 billion euros in March.
Total credit within the Spanish financial system stood at 1.426 trillion euros in April, 13.707 billion euros less than a month earlier.
This fall made the bad loan ratio rose on a month-to-month basis, despite the fact that troubled debts fell within the system since March.
