MADRID, Aug 29 (AFP) : Spain's inflation rate fell in August for the third consecutive month as fuel and food prices eased, preliminary official data showed Thursday.
Consumer prices rose 2.2 percent on an annual basis, down from 2.8 percent in July, national statistics office INE said in a statement.
The main factor slowing inflation was a fall in fuel prices, which had risen in the same period last year.
