Spontaneous income tax payment for boosting economy stressed

RANGPUR, Sept 16 (BSS): Speakers at the inaugural ceremony of a week-long income tax fair here today stressed for inspiring and encouraging the citizens for spontaneous payment of income taxes to strengthen national economy and enhance national uplift.

Rangpur Zonal Tax Commissioner's Office has been organising the 'Income Tax Fair-2014' at Zila Parishad Community Centre from September 16 to September 22 next in the city.

Member (Legal and Enforcement) of the National Board of Revenue (NBR) Kalipado Halder attended the inaugural ceremony as the chief guest and formally inaugurated the fair, while Rangpur Zonal Commissioner of Taxes Animesh Roy presided over the inaugural function.

President of Rangpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) Mostafa Sohrab Chowdhury Titu addressed the inaugural ceremony as the special guest.

The income tax officials and employees, chamber and business community leaders, bankers, industrialists, entrepreneurs, students, teachers, civil society members, socio-cultural activists, professionals, common people and elite of the city were present at the function.
