Square Textiles approves 20pc cash, 10pc stock dividend

Square Textiles Ltd. declared cash dividend at the rate of 20 per cent and stock dividend (bonus share) at the rate 10 per cent to its shareholders for the year ended December 31, 2014 at its 20th Annual General Meeting held at the Raowa Convention Hall-2, DOHS Mohakhali, Dhaka recently. The AGM was presided over by the Chairman of the Company Mr. Samuel S Chowdhury. Mrs. Ratna Patra, Vice Chairman; Mr. Tapan Chowdhury, Managing Director; Mr. M Sekander Ali, Independent Director; Mr. Syed Afzal Hasan Uddin Independent Director; Mr. Md. Kabir Reza, Director (A&F), Mr. Md. Alamgir Hossain, CFO and Mr. Khandaker Habibuzzaman, Company Secretary were present in the meeting. The gross profit, net profit (before tax) and net profit (after tax) for the year 2014 were Tk. 868.72 million, Tk. 644.99 million and Tk. 541.19 million respectively. The company contributed an amount of Tk. 126.53 million to the national exchequer. The company contributed substantially to the foreign exchange reserve of the country. — Statement
