AMM Golam Towhid has been appointed Managing Director (MD) of the Syngenta Bangladesh Limited.
Mr. Towhid joined Syngenta in May 2015 as Head of Marketing and has been a part of the Country Leadership Team of the company, said a press release.
As Head of Marketing, he redefined strategic marketing initiatives enabling and accelerating growth to drive profitable and sustainable business for Syngenta Bangladesh Ltd.
A professional with 18 years of experience in Sales, Trade Marketing and Distribution, Brand Marketing and Strategic Planning and Insights, Mr Towhid started his career with GrameenPhone and later joined British American Tobacco Bangladesh as Territory Officer.
Prior to joining Syngenta, he had served Airtel Bangladesh as Head of Sales.
Mr. Towhid holds a Master of Science degree in Geography & Environment from Dhaka University and a Master of Business Administration from North South University, majoring in Marketing. Mr. Towhid is the elder son of Late Ekramul Haque, Ex Forest Range Officer of Bangladesh Forest Department.
