Tea sale marked with less demand for all varieties

The sale was marked with less demand for all varieties and sold prices were easier. Plain poor tea were very difficult of sale and suffered heavy withdrawals. Blenders lent fair support while Loose tea buyers were less active. Buyers for Pakistan purchased selectively at further reduced levels.
Good liquoring Ds/CDs were again a dearer market, National Brokers Limited press release said.
CTC LEAF: 38,254 packages and 71 packages of old season tea on offer met with less demand with heavier withdrawals.
BROKENS/FANNINGS: There was only a nominal quantity of clean Invoices which met with a fair demand and the best sold between Tk 170 and Tk 180. Medium tea were generally much easier with fair withdrawals. Plain poor tea met with selective enquiry and only were sold at easier rates and most of these varieties were withdrawn without bids.
CTC DUST: 5,698 packages and 17 packages of old season teas on offer met with a fair demand. All others were a lower market easing by upto Tk 10. End of season varieties were again mostly neglected. Blenders and Loose tea buyers lent a fair support.
