CENTRAL SHARIAH BOARD FOR ISLAMIC BANKS HOLDS SEMINAR
The Central Shariah Board for Islamic Banks of Bangladesh (CSBIB) held a seminar on 'Role of Shariah-based banking in socio-economic development of Bangladesh' at a hotel in Dhaka recently. Md Rias Sarower, Director General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, attended the seminar as the chief guest. The keynote paper was presented by former professor of Bahrain and Gulf University and the honorary faculty professor of the United International University, Bangladesh, Dr. Mohammad Omar Farooq while Vice Chairman of the Central Shariah Board Dr Md Anwar Hosain Molla presided over the event. Secretary General of Central Shariah Board Md Abdullah Sharif, delivered a welcome speech. In the seminar, 16-point proposals & recommendations were adopted.
