The state-owned Rupali Bank Limited has taken several initiatives to boost remittance income. As part of such an initiative, the lottery draw of the fifth and last week's campaign titled 'Rupali Bank Remittance Service Programme (Eid Anondo)' was held at the head office of the bank in Dhaka on Tuesday. Managing Director and CEO of the bank Mohammad Jahangir and other high officials were present at the event. Shariful Islam Maleq, a customer of Rampur Bazar branch of the bank in Chandpur, won the first prize, a 100-CC motorcycle. Shamima Begum, a customer of Kulaura branch in Moulvibazar, won the second prize, a 43-inch smart TV. The third prize, a microwave oven, was bagged by Jahir Islam, a customer of Mainamati Bazar branch in Cumilla. Habib Ali Haidar, a customer of Dholia Bazar branch in Feni, secured the fourth prize, a smartphone handset. The fifth prize, a dinner set, went to Mahmuda Begum, a client of Nasirnagar branch in Brahmanbaria.
