Three-day ICT fair in city from tomorrow

Oxford International School (OIS), an English Medium School, is going to organise a three-day ICT fair in the city from tomorrow (Saturday) aimed at motivating the new generation towards Information and Communication Technology (ICT), reports BSS.
State Minister for Information and Communications Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak will open the 4th National ICT Fair, 2014 on the school's main campus at Dhanmondi at 9:30am.
ICT Author and Chairman of System Ltd Mahbubur Rahman and Vice-Chancellor of North South University (NSU) Amin U Sarkar will attend the inaugural ceremony as the special guests.
Besides, Secretary of the Information and Communications Technology Division Md Nazrul Islam Khan will join the closing ceremony of the fair on Monday afternoon as the chief guest, while Communication Consultant of World Bank's Leveraging ICT for Growth, Empowerment and Governance Ajit Kumar Sarkar will be the special guest.
Students from different schools, colleges and universities of both national and international curriculum in the country will take part in different events of the fair.
The events include, ICT Olypiad, Brain Teasers, project showcasing, digital art competition, algorithm contest, general knowledge competition and gaming competitions.
Apart from these, workshops, seminars and symposium would be organised during the three-day fair with the participation of country's leading ICT experts and stakeholders.
In the concluding session, the winners of different competitions would be awarded with medals and certificates.
