Tofail to open industrial trade fair in Kolkata today

The 27th edition of Industrial Trade Fair-2014 begins in Kolkata today (Friday) showcasing products of various countries, reports UNB.

Bengal National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BNCCI) is hosting the fair with some 90 companies participating in it from Bangladesh alone, said an official at the Commerce Ministry here.

Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed will inaugurate the fair that will continue till January 4 at the Milan Mela ground.

The trade fair, which focuses on small and medium sectors of the eastern region, is expected to attract participants from countries like Pakistan, Nepal, Bhutan, Egypt, Ghana, Thailand, Turkey, China, Taiwan and Afghanistan.

The Industrial India Trade Fair, the largest f its kind in Eastern & North eastern India, projects the Industrial progress of the region and other states encompassing various sectors.

Tofail Ahmed will return home on Saturday.
