Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) and Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) jointly launched on Thursday 'Trade Licence Service Booth' to help businesses get new trade licences and have the old ones renewed.
The facility will also provide extended services to the members of DCCI and help speed up business operation.

Mayor of DSCC Barrister Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh inaugurated the service booth at DCCI.
Earlier the DSCC and the DCCI had signed a memorandum of understating (MoU) for setting up the trade license service booth at the trade body office.
The booth has been established at DCCI initially for two weeks to give online trade license renewal service to the DCCI members under the DSCC area.
While inaugurating the booth, the DSCC mayor said the MoU signed between DCCI and DSCC is a milestone initiative of public-private partnership to step up economic development of the country.
He said from July 01 this year, businessmen, especially those under ten zones of the southern part of the city, will get fully online trade license renewal facility for one year up to five years.
He also said without increasing any trade license fees or holding tax, DSCC made a profit of about Tk5.24 billion or Tk 524 crore in the past three years.
Mr Taposh further said Dhaka itself contributes about 36 per cent of the total gross domestic product (GDP) of Bangladesh which will rise in near future.
"For the greater development of economy we would like to work hand in hand with the private sector in future," he added.
He said DSCC has already taken a master plan to make Dhaka a smart and developed city.
DCCI President Barrister Md Sameer Sattar in his speech said the MoU signed between DCCI and DSCC is a remarkable initiative through which businessmen will be benefitted.
He said the booth will be able to act as a One Stop Service to the DCCI members at present time.
He said the members of DCCI under the southern part of Dhaka could avail the facility of online trade license renewal.
CEO of DSCC (Additional Secretary) Md Mizanur Rahman said the MoU has created a platform to work jointly for development of the country's economy.
He added this is a new beginning and DSCC is committed to facilitating business through digitalised services.
He said the trade license service booth will serve for the next two weeks until July 20.
